My name is Astrid, and I'm originally from Eastern Norway but have ended up in Sandnes. I share my home with a cat who doesn’t pay rent but still believes she’s the head of the household.
I make digital solutions less frustrating to use so people can focus their energy on what truly matters. With a strong interest in creating impactful solutions for society, I am especially passionate about improving digital experiences in healthcare and other critical sectors. I believe that well-designed digital systems can significantly enhance the lives of both users and professionals, allowing them to focus on their core work and responsibilities.
Since 2022, I’ve worked as a UX Designer with clients across healthcare, tourism, culture, and energy. My strengths lie in user research, data-driven design, and user testing. I have a vocational degree in UX design, and before transitioning into this field, I held roles that involved digital solutions, website management, and CRM systems—often as the main point of contact for suppliers and responsible for training colleagues and volunteers.
My interest in UX started when I was training non-digital users on a new membership system. Every time I reported a bug, the supplier dismissed it as user error without even checking. The frustration this caused both me and the users made me want to fix the problem from the inside.

In addition, I have a master’s degree in musicology. In my master’s program, I used qualitative interviews as the primary method, and I am well-versed in user research and analysis. I also have further education in both administration and management, as well as project management, and have considerable work experience in these areas.

I would love to have a coffee with you!
